Milton E. Davis

Founder & CEO

I’m at the service of my community.

Mr. Milton E. Davis has served our Country by participating in the Navy, from this experience Davis has learned to be a fearless, selfless and a disciplined business owner. Mr. Davis has also performed as a Marketing Strategist and developed many brands. He has also been a salesperson in several arenas which includes, Kirby sales, auto sales, appliances, and wireless technology. Mr. Davis has also worked as a banker for two major banking companies. His recent and most challenging determination to date is combating homelessness. Mr. Davis has been a faithful Servant for three-plus years and has made great strides in this sector. He has saved numerous citizens from homelessness and kept many Residents from repetitively returning to the streets, in the interim, holding all Residents to higher standards by enforcing housing rules so Residents can maintain safety, growth and become more self-sufficient.

Davis’ commitment to Transitional Housing has been gratifying, challenging, enlightening, but more than anything it has been his utmost pleasure in giving back to the Community. Mr. Davis is skillful in building strong relationships with other organizations such as: Re-entry Probationers, Mental Health Agencies, HIV agencies, the LGBTQ Community, and Hospitals that try to avoid discharging patients that are homeless. Mr. Davis is determined to receive the most challenging clients from off the streets, earning their trust so he can stabilize and grow the person into their best being. Mr. Milton’s preferred quote from Dr. King is:
“Everybody can be great because everybody can serve. You don’t have to have a college degree to serve. You don’t have to make your subject and your verb agree to serve……….. You only need a heart full of grace, a soul generated by love”.

Our History

HOU was originally established to house the mentally challenged population in 2016.  At the end of 2016 Milton E. Davis became a limited partner of HOU.  Due to Davis’s passion to end homelessness in the community, a need was established with the HIV population which initiated a relationship between HOU and the HIV community.  The need for safe stable housing with the HIV population resulted in partnerships with the Living Room, Inc., Emory Health Systems, Grady Hospital, Moving Mountains, and Southern Regional Hospital. With these relationships, HOU was able to house residents with a multitude of disabilities such as Hospice Care, physical disabled, including recent amputees, visual impaired, and paroles. In 2019 when the Living Room was dissolved, HOU continued to serve the original Living Room clients that were not eligible for HOPWA Tenant-Based Rental Assistance.   In an effort to displaced these residents, Mr. Davis became the sole owner of HOU and established HOU as a non-profit agency.  The staff of HOU was increased to provide Case Management which connects residents to health care, payee services, and other vital services.
