Why Is Transitional Housing Essential?
Transitional Housing provides people with assistance after a life crisis. It is meant to provide a safe, supportive environment where residents can overcome trauma, so they can begin to address the issues that led to homelessness or kept them homeless and begin to rebuild their support network.
At Houses of Unity Inc., we except people that have experienced: domestic violence; re-entry from prison/jail; residents who can’t afford market rent due to their low income; populations recovering from mental health crisis; and recovering from drug addiction.
At Houses of Unity Inc., we assist in positive redirection within these circumstances.
Houses Of Unity, Inc. is a drug-free environment and offers a multitude of Special Needs Housing, such as:
Emergency Housing
Housing for our Medically Fragile
Housing for our Mentally Challenged
An Array of Life-Sustaining Resources are allocated for our Residents as well:
- Two meals a day
- Residents are provided toiletries weekly
- Life Coaching
- Adjunct support with off-site Case Management from other Housing Agencies
- Continual support with Addictions
- On-site House Management
- Support Group
